Speaking up for Public Health: COVID-19
Dr. Lundberg and her colleague Kathryn McDonald, professor at the Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, highlight in this article how effective simple mandatory public health interventions at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic were associated with improved economic impact, mitigated effects on minority communities and decreased mortality. Dr. Bill Burman, Director of Denver Public Health, writes, “We need a lot of this kind of careful review of the pandemic.”
